Skate Deck Poster - iPhone Version

Skate Deck Poster - Final & Story

This poster is a reminder of how our world works. Its everyone for themselves when we go to the bare basics of things. Everyone wants success and will go through others to achieve it. Fish are used to symbolize animals that are far distant from our selves, however still share the basic need of survival and well being. A cartoony look was made in order for it to look somewhat comical, but upon further inspection one will discover the true, deeper meaning behind this poster.

Death Note - (manga)

There are dozens of famous anime's and manga's out there in today's world and many of them very interesting and exciting to read or watch. One of my favourite manga/anime's in my opinion, which I read as a manga, is Death Note. Death note isn't as main stream as lot of more commonly known anime's, however it's very well known to anime fans and is widely considered one of the best.

Death Note is a story about a  high school student named Light Yagami who is extremely intelligent and crafty. Essentially what happens next is Light finds a book called the death note and if he writes someones name inside it, that person will die of a heart attack within 40 seconds of their name being written. The book even allows for the writer to state how they want their victims to die if they want another method aside from a heart attack. The story basically revolves around Light who starts off by using the books power to kill criminals, but the power of the book eventually gets to his head to the point where he starts killing off whoever he chooses. Attached to the death note is a death god (shinigami) who is the true owner of the book. The story gets very intricate and interesting as it progresses after more characters are introduced. The other main character simply named L is a genius detective who tries to put an end to Light's killing spree. It becomes a back and forth battle throughout the story as the two try to out smart each other in unorthodox ways. The story is incredibly interesting and grabs your attention from the beginning to the end. Overall Death Note is an amazing story 12 volumes long. Its not for young audiences however, but is an excellent read or viewing for a more mature crowd.

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time - (video game - N64)

The Legend of Zelda holds one of the best series of games in one collection. However whenever Zelda is mentioned, one game in particular always comes to mind. The best Zelda game, and one of the greatest games ever made, Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. The reason Ocarina of Time is so great, is it really revolutionized adventure games in terms of storyline, game play and graphics. At the time, this game was top of the line in every way. Even now people such as myself consider this game to be the best ever.

Its a story about a young orphan who lives alone at a small village in the woods. His world is in danger as an evil power starts to consume everything. The kingdom's princess (Zelda) is kidnapped by the evil entity (Ganondorf) responsible for all the dark creatures taking over the country (Hyrule). And it's at that point that the orphan (Link) whom you control, rises up to save everyone and be the hero. You soon become equipped with a sword and shield to do battle with, and as the game progresses, you unlock dozens of unique and exciting weapons. You venture out into the world and battle all sorts of monsters, making the game challenging and fun. You even get to ride horse mid way through the game with a very unique riding game play system. This game can last days to weeks to even months depending on whether you get stuck on one of the various challenging puzzles the game provides. Overall this game is extremely fun to play and it gives you a real sense of accomplishment and satisfaction once it's over. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time is in my view the best game ever made and to this day remains a amazing experience for anyone.

Super Smash Bros Brawl (video game - Wii)

Super Smash Bros Brawl is the latest version of the popular video game series. Smash Bros is a Nintendo based fighting game that features characters from all different video games. The object of the game is to battle with your opponents and try to knock them out of the arena. This game is the third installment of the series and is exclusive to the Nintendo Wii. The game has excellent controls that are simple and easy to learn. Players have the choice of using either the Wii remote alone or with the nun chuck extension, as well as the classic Game Cube controllers. The game plays very smoothly with great reaction time from controller to character. Graphically the game is also very pleasing. It has a cartoon like unrealistic look, that suits the overall style of the game. There isn't much of a storyline as this game focuses more on the battle system aspect, however the story it does present is vastly better than its predecessors. Overall Smash Bros Brawl is a very fun experience for people of all ages as its endlessly fun and very easy to learn.
