Flash - Final Project RFP

For this project I am suppose to create a some sort of imagery and have it move to a song. The music will control the movement of the imagery. In order to make this visually appealing I've decided to do something rather basic yet modern and vibrant. My main idea is to create something simplistic and somewhat exciting to watch at the same time.

To accomplish this I decided to use the bar idea having them move up and down based on the music. However I also put the bars on the top of the screen as well for a more unique look. Both the bars at the top and the bottom will move to the music. This will create a sort of wavy colourful effect, being done to enhance to songs overall experience. Although the bar scheme is a commonly utilized method, the way in which I display the bars is a unique and creative spin on the idea. The reason for choosing a method which visually seems somewhat simplistic is to give the viewer a sense of familiarity and comfort. Despite the simplistically the format and colours chosen will also take the visual experience to a new level.

The colour scheme chosen was carefully thought out to apply a certain effect to the visual presentation. I decided to go with cool more relaxing colours and tones to have a calm yet fun vibe. The colours chosen were various different tones of greens, blues and purples all of which somewhat fade into the other from one bar to the next. The horizontal black bars at the top and bottom were placed there to make the other colours stand out as they move to the music. Overall the colour choices present a certain sense of fun, cool, relaxation to the presentation and they fit nicely to the selected song.

SONG: One More Time - Daft Punk

I chose the song "One More Time" by Daft Punk for a variety of reasons. This song has a cool and upbeat vibe to it which I feel really blends well with my selected colours and design. The beat of this song also picks up rather gradually as the song plays on, this creates a nice assortment of visuals as the imagery matches the sounds. I also very much like the rhythm and overall sound of this song. There aren't very many lyrics so the song is heavily based on the instrumental aspect which I also feel lends it self well to a presentation of this nature.

Overall this presentation will look unique and creative based on the imagery I have created. It will create a cool relaxing vibe from the colours and objects chosen. And tied together with the music it will be an interesting and overall visually pleasing Flash presentation.

Red Bull Pong Game - Narrative

School's over and it's time to relax. Tons of new video games are available, but you don't feel like playing any of the new age stuff. You grew up when video games were nice and simple, and your looking to relive some of that old school action. There's an irresistible urge to play something simple, fun and retro, just like in the good old days. You haven't got the time to go on adventures with Mario, you want something more basic that still captures the thrill of a good game. You know the only way to achieve this satisfaction is through the classic masterpiece Pong, Red Bull style. The same old Pong you know and love, but with a whole lot more energy.
