Shoe Ad (Min Skoa 71) - Final Ad

Shoe Ad (Min Skoa 71) - Storyline

The storyline for my project is all about Min Skoa 71 being a new and interesting brand. Its meant to be a new yet still simple take on the average walking shoe. Striving to stand out from the rest, not because it looks extremely vibrant or unusual, but because it has all the characteristics of what makes a desirable shoe. Its suppose to look as though it can compete with the big shoe brands, because of its casual, clean and unique look.  Min Skoa 71 is meant for everyone, and its simplistic yet appealing look was designed to prove that.

Shoe Ad (Min Skoa 71) - Before & After

These are my before and after images of my shoe for the Min Skoa 71 shoe ad assignment. I used Photoshop to erase the three white stripes off the side, as well as the original logo found on the back and the tongue of the shoe.

Shoe Ad (Min Skoa 71) - Ad Ideas

These are a few ideas I had for the Min Skoa 71 shoe ad assignment. Both ideas are somewhat similar, however they have some substantial differences. I plan to take what I like from both and create a polished final product.

Shoe Ad (Min Skoa 71) - Mind Map

This is my mind map for the Min Skoa 71 shoe ad assignment. I tried to think of as many things as I could that relates to a good shoe. Specifically things that I believe would make a good shoe.

Media Popculture - Review #2

UFC Undisputed 2011 (Video Game - PS3)

I often play lots of video games, but one in particular that I play everyday is UFC Undisputed 2011 for PS3. I'm a huge MMA fan and this game is simply the best for the sport. It features the UFC's original five weight classes and all it's top and popular fighters. The game has many different features, from simple single player exhibition (my favorite) to two player matches to online multiplayer. This game is a good step up from the original 2010 version in every way. However there is still room for improvement. Knock outs should look and feel a little more realistic, rather than sudden basic topple over after a good strike. Another thing that they didn't improve on this the original version is the "getting rocked" sequence. After you land a clean strike against your opponent and deal enough damage, he gets "rocked" however the screen merely turns black and white and your opponent begins moving lethargically. In a real fight, once someone is "rocked" they tend to stumble over, even fall right now, not just walk around slowly.

Despite the couple things I'd like changed, the game is still amazing. Any MMA fan would appreciate the close attention to detail the game puts on all aspects. The game allows you to essentially do whatever a real fighter can do, with each character having there own skill sets based of the real thing. The UFC Undisputed game line is one of my favorites. I always look forward to the improvements in every new version. I find myself playing this game all the time, as it is incredibly fun due to all the match ups you can have, and the easy to learn controls make it a game anyone could enjoy. Simply a great game for any MMA fan.

Inception

I'd like to talk about Inception which is a movie that I watched awhile ago, but also saw again recently. I feel that it truly epitomizes a good movie in every way, and it's depth makes it memorable. I liked watching the great acting displayed by Leonardo DiCaprio as I felt he really embodied his role and captivated my attention from beginning to end. Besides the great acting, I found the story very creative and intricate, unfolding beautifully throughout. This movie truly had it all in my opinion, from great special effects, to a very original storyline. Inception is by far the best movie of 2010, and what of the best movies I've ever seen.
